2004.11.23 Grand Theft TechTV: G4 Media
In spirit of this entry's title, hear what Leo Laporte's [WMA format 5.3MB] take on the whole G4 Media firing and cancellation of Unscrewed and the restructuring of The Screen Savers.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Yes, I'm currently playing this game and only now have I ventured over to the city of San Fierro. A definite improvement from the its predecessors, a lot more customization in respect to your character physical development. Your character now has to eat (similar to Metal Gear Solid 3) and stay fit if you want to get far in the game.
One of the thing I've noticed and has becoming annoying in the game play is that when you close to your target and fire the weapon, while having a target lock, you shoot straight into the air. What's up with that?
I'm only completed about 25% of the game and chasing the courier from one city to the next or trying to intercept the courier, all I can say is "WOW" -- talk about 'needing to take a potty break during the long commutes.'.
Those that have played GTA:SA -- what do you like most about the game and what you do you hate most about the game?

Hey Highway, long time!!
I listened to Leo's take on G4TechTv and completely agree with him. I love the idea of a gaming channel, but having it gaming 24/7 is a waste of time. You cant do that. Although gaming is escalating, it STILL isnt at the level where you can run 24/7 games. There are too many re runs, too many old shows (people dont care about Ratchet and Clank 1 or Bloodrayne 1 anymore, really is THAT all youre gonna play?) Having a good mix of Tech and games was great. But really we dont need ARENA, CINEMATECH and that damn ROBOT WARS.
I believe Leo himself has said many times that he hates G4 Media. Especially since they were the same cronies that screwed him over for no apparent reason back in May.
Wow, shivadee what happened to you? Do you still watch new episodes of X-Play?
dude, what can i say. Im finishing my Masters degree in March and i found the woman i want to marry. So life is pretty busy these days. I catch the reruns when i can during the afternoon. But make no mistake Webb is looking even more gorgeous, its just that i found someone better in my eyes :)
