2004.10.27 Dance, I Said "DANCE!"

More DDR?

From: Authority_Kev
I heard that someone leaked Halo 2 on the internet and you can download it. Is that for real, and does it mean I can play it for free now?

Response: Yes, someone did leak Halo 2 out into the internet and while it's free to download, if you get caught, you will be fined $100,000.00. Also, unless you're fluent in French, the leaked copy won't do you much good, not to mention that it lacks online play.

2004.10.26 GTA Dedicated Night...

I didn't realize this, until I saw today's set of repeat episodes of X-Play. On 2003.09.25 airing of "Games Your Momma Wouldn't Like" and then 2003.07.16 episode, both of which had a review of "Grand Theft Auto III: Vice City" for the PC, the 2003.07.16 review was narrated by Adam Sessler and then on 2003.09.25, that same review was narrated by Morgan Webb.

Now, I would figure that they record the original narration to save time and money, but apparently, they've tape both versions, each narrated by each host. I don't understand this... can some explain this to me?

2004.10.25 Time for Sports Game Publishers to Take a Break

Sid Meier's Pirates, NHL 2005, Tak II and more!

Laura Foy and Tina Wood (of G4TV.com) once mentioned that sports game publishers should simply take a break and not release a game back to back from year to year. Are they introducing anything whoppingly new that requires another release with the next year?

This applies to: NHL, NFL, NBA, MLB, T.H.U.G, etc.

Unless you REALLY have the need to release the game because of some innovative new technology that would make game play 150% much better, all you're doing is milking your customer base for money and releasing CRAPPY-arse games. Oh wait, that's what you wanted to do in the first place.

In that case, keep on what you're doing. At $49.99 a pop, I'm sure ESPN wouldn't mind looking to taking your customers for only $19.99; lower price, better features!

2004.10.13 Terminate the Terminator!

Terminator 3: Redemption, Burnout 3, Sims 2 and more!

From the International WebNet, the Sims 2, which in my opinion, is a complete waste of time and in the same corner as Laura Foy. I don't see the appeal of being online for hours re-creating the life and times of yourself -- it's definitely for control freaks who feel that they need to control some aspect of life, even the virtual kind.

Terminator 3: The Redemption PS2 & GCN 3 out of 5 stars
WWE: Day of Reckoning GCN 4 out of 5 stars
Burnout 3: Takedown PS2 & XBox 5 out of 5 stars

"The Chaffed Cow Utter"

Perimeter reminds me of the movie, Starship Troopers with a touch of Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within.

Gmail Invite Codes Updates

I want to mention how popular the Gmail Invite Giveaway has been, so popular that the available invite codes in the pool is constantly drying up -- that's good news to users who don't have an Gmail account -- this is bad news cause there isn't enough going around.

The question has come up, "Where do I find the invite codes?" -- Not everyone is given the ability to invite user to have a Gmail account, but if you do get the ability, you should be able to find the invite link either on the left side or new the top of the browser. They keep moving that 'invite link'. The link color is usually red.

2004.10.05 All Card-Based Games Must Die!

"All Card-Based Games Must Die!"

Anyone remember such card-battle games as Magic: The Gathering --- it was fun then, when it first came out but now, everyone is trying to cash in on that (now overkilled with Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh) genre-type gaming system. Now "Metal Gear Acid" for the new Sony PSP will be a card-based battle game.

2004.10.04 "Taste My Deadly Bush?"

"Taste My Deadly Bush"

Hearing that phrase, spoken by Morgan, just came out all wrong on so many levels -- I'm sure there are some of you who are just giggling at that phrase.

Now, is it me or does one of the persons doing the voice acting in the game Phantom Brave, sounds like the guy from the movie "The Three Musketeers", (the one with Chris O'Donnell as D'Artagnan), who's looking for D'Artagnan and shouts out, "D'Artagnan! My sister's honor will not wait!" and then gets rushed by hundreds of D'Artagnan's fellow musketeers.
