2004.02.27 Wookie Dance... NOT!

Repeat episode.

From: Jim Taylor
In your opinion what are the worst videogames you have played across all generations and platforms? Games so poorly executed that they aren't worth being chewed by the family dog?

Note: Everyone already knows how bad E.T. on the VCS/2600 was, so no need to mention.

Response:
Adam: Superman 64 for the N64
Morgan: Charlie's Angels

Can someone please tell me what is happening with Argonauts game, Malice? Before I bought my X-box I was almost positive this would be one of their starting titles and now over a year and still no Malice!!

Response: title has been dropped from release schedule.

2004.02.25 "That's All Folks!"

Jet Li: Rise to Honor PS2 3 out of 5 stars
Fire Emblem GBA 5 out of 5 stars
Law & Order II: Double or Nothing PC 3 out of 5 stars
Looney Tunes: Back in Action PS2 2 out of 5 stars

Now personally, I'm a CSI kind of guy ... not so much about the cops and court, rather the investigation and scientific evidence behind the scenes. My most favorite line from CSI in Season II did not come the character of William Petersen's Gill Grissom, but from a parent:

So, what you're saying is that a confluence of unrelated events, however unfortunate, all conspired towards the death of my daughter?

I don't know why but something about using the word 'confluence' just makes the phrase so much more sophisticated.

From: Corey
Out of all the old SNES RPGs, which are your favorite?

Response: Adam says, "Final Fantasy III" --- Morgan says, "Fantasy Star III" and she knows it's not on the SNES but the SEGA GENESIS.

2004.02.24 Nuclear Wessels!

One Must Fall: Battlegrounds PC 2 out of 5
Culdcept PS2 3 out of 5
RC Cars PC 2 out of 5
Star Trek: Shattered Universe XBox 1 out of 5
American Idol PS2 1 out of 5

Now, being a Star Trek fans as I am... I bought the game -- and it started with great expectations as Morgan and Adam had when they first previewed the game. Unfortunately, they game play itself proved otherwise. As for myself, I do have to agree that it's annoying when you have to fight wave-after-wave of fighters (like 15 minutes of combat), just when you're about to win, they bring in the heavy orion cruisers. You have to do the entire thing ALL OVER AGAIN. Easy mode isn't easy as you think. I like the concept of the game -- but come on -- the Excelsior was originally designed to be a 'battleship' and here I am, in a little fighter, taking out 4 M-5 controlled Constitution-class heavy cruisers.

We saw your review of Silent Hill 3 and now we're interested in the series. What's the difference between the original and the recently released "greatest hits" versions of Silent Hill 1 & 2 sellers keep advertising that the "originals" are better for some reason... Why?

Response: The only difference between the games labeled "Greatest Hits" and the originals is the label "Greatest Hits"... collectors would prefer the originals ... same game play.

Silent Hill 4 is due out in 2004.

2004.02.23 Isis Scream for Ice Cream!

"Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse" had a release date of Feb 14th '04. Then the whole company fell off the face of the planet! Do you have any news on this title? Is it dead or is there still a chance that 3DO will get it on the market?

Response: The company 3DO went under and everything was sold -- no one purchased the title "Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse" so the game will never come to market.

2004.02.13 Sports Fashion Moh-gan

Since tonight's episode is another repeat, I've decided to post this one image.

I <3 Morgan Webb: 2004.02.13

You can also find images of Morgan Webb on "what morgan webb wore".

I'm also thinking of creating a new T-Shirt to help promote this site:

I'm trying to go with the "I Love Lucy" kind of flavor and thought this design would be kind of cute.

2004.02.10 Possible Service Disruption...

Sometime within this week, you might experience some problems accessing the site while we're moving to a new host. The new host will provide additional diskspace as well as increased processor power and bandwidth.

The service disruption will be due to DNS IP address changes and some DNS servers will still have the old IP address while others will have the new IP address.

In the meantime, I will try to keep both 'sites' operational and the changes should be complete by next week (which means all the DNS servers should have the new IP address).

2004.02.04 Snake!!! Snake!!!

Having played the original Dungeon Siege, I want the game to continue when I played it -- much of my time was spent solving each level and polishing off the 'boss'. Now, comes Legends of Aranna, the expansion pack to the game -- I don't have time for it at this point. I'm currently playing Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II, Star Trek: Shattered Universe and Rise of Nations.

Dungeon Siege: Legends of Aranna PC 3 out of 5
Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines XBox 2 out of 5

Another episode of average games...

Dark Ages of Camelot: Trials of Atlantis PC 3 out of 5
Magic: The Gathering -- Battlegrounds XBox 3 out of 5

But ... I'm do believe someone here (Shawn Liu) has a better idea of how the game, Dark Ages of Camelot: Trials of Atlantis (his DAoC site) is like.

Gawd... just look at all those polygons... so real...

Due to the maturity rating of the game, we're not able to show you screenshots from the game Sexy Beach 2 from Japan. -- sowwy.

But let's see if you can say this 3 times fast:
... and once you've sat enough pool swimming, jump roping, ball bouncing and weird monkey-critter snuggling to confuse the most healthy libido...

2004.02.02 Superbowl Sunday....

Morgan Webb: February 01, 2004 - February 07, 2004 Archives

If previous journal entries or comments haven't convince the fans of Morgan Webb, this journal entry from Morgan herself reveals that she's gotten a camera-capable cell phone. I personally still don't have a camera phone but until then, I'll keep using my 3.2Mp portable camera.

I didn't watch the superbowl on TV, I don't follow football that much and I heard about Justin's and Janet's fiasco with the halftime show.

Oh well, you can check out my weekly poll about that -- http://www.highwayman.org
